Our Mission…
The Good Project is dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals struggling with mental health and addiction, and providing support to veterans in need. Our mission is to empower these marginalized populations by offering comprehensive assistance, including rehabilitation programs, counseling, and access to essential resources. How We Get It Done
The Good Project started with an experiment - to see if we could get somebody off the street. So we went out one day with a mission to talk to people that looked like they could use some help, to see if we could get just one person to make a different choice - to take a job offer that would help them work towards having a better life.
And once you realize that you have the ability to help one person, it only makes you want to help more. And so it began… this mission to help as many people as we can, one at a time. People who are struggling with drug addiction, homelessness, and mental health issues.
Our “boots-on-the-ground” approach is how we get the job done. Through the use of social media, we post our interactions and stories which prompts good people like you to donate money to our cause. One hundred percent (100%) of the funds we raise go to the people that need it - in small ways and sometimes big. In the form of a coffee, a gift card, a meal, a pair of shoes, a new set of teeth, get-back-on-your-feet-after-rehab money, rent for a halfway house, or towards their scholarship for rehabilitation at a professional facility.
We couldn’t do this without the help of Diamond Recovery. They have a few different locations in Georgia, Florida, and California and really care about people trying to get clean and sober. Their facilities are clean and staffed by wonderful people. Through the use of their dual diagnosis treatment approach, each individual receives a personalized treatment plan that’s designed to meet their unique needs and address their concerns.
Diamond Recovery and The Good Project have the same goal - HELP AS MANY PEOPLE AS WE POSSIBLY CAN.
What You Can Do to Help
Join us in making a difference — together, we can help someone in need and get them moving in the right direction. Choose to give today and provide them with the opportunity to make better choices to have a better life.
I’m dedicated to supporting every person I encounter in my day-to-day life, whether they’re living in a tent, sleeping on the streets, holding a sign on the side of a busy freeway, or just in need of some kindness. Every dollar you donate goes 100% towards helping someone in need. I am deeply grateful for your generosity. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue making a difference in people’s lives every single day.
With sincere thanks,
Victor the Good Boss
Victor Oliveira came from humble beginnings — dropping out of high school and running with the wrong crowd, he struggled with addiction and ended up in jail. This was the turning point where he realized he needed to make better choices in order to make a better life.
”I’ve always been a good person at heart and didn’t want my bad choices to define my life. I smartened up, started my own landscaping business and enjoyed being good to my employees. This led me to start helping homeless people and offering them jobs. I feel compelled to do this when I see a person that might need help. It keeps me on my toes and makes me feel good. I enjoy inspiring others and giving back to the community. I share my story with these people so they can relate to me. Giving someone the opportunity to better their life and witness real change is an amazing experience — it keeps me going.”
